Directors of Special Services oversee broad categories of service delivery for students of all ability levels, responsibilities that regularly intersect with various laws including the IDEA, Section 504, and New Jersey’s Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. Directors are often required to make decisions, implement programs, write federal grants, and develop intricate budgets involving areas of practice with which they have little or no experience.

Join us for an informative two-day workshop that will prepare directors to face the challenges they encounter each day. Presenters include Jessika Kleen, ESQ., Partner at Machado Law Group and Michael Reinknecht, M.Ed., Current Director of Special Services. Workshop will include:

DAY ONE (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM):
Self-Critical Special Services Analysis / Departmental Audits
